Kindlasti on paljud TomTom navigaatorite kasutajad puudust tundnud OffRoad navigeerimisest st. jälgimast oma teekonda väljaspool märgistatud teid – metsas, soos, jõel, järvel..... Kuid ka sellele probleemile on lahendus – asjaarmastajate poolt on loodud tasuta programm ttMaps . See on lihtsalt installeeritav ning navigaatoris seda käivitades sulgub TomTom oma navigeerimisprogramm ning avaneb sarnase ülesehitusega rasterkaarte kasutav rakendus. Seal saab samuti valida kaarte, POI-faile, teekondi, salvestada logisid jne.
Nagu eelpool mainitud, kasutab programm rasterkaarte, kuid siit ka väike probleem – need failid peavad olema konverditud *.ecw vormingusse. Neid konvertereid ei olegi palju ja enamus tasulised. Eesti kaarti polegi ise veel leidnud, kuid Euroopa omaga, mis samalt veebilehelt saadaval, olen katsetatud ja asi toimib.
Süsteeminõuded: navcore ver.6 või uuem; vaba mälu min 20 mb (suured kaardid nõuavad märksa rohkem), arvutis Windows, Linux või MacOS X.

Mingil ajahetkel, kui ma seda proovisin ja katsetasin, see vist ver 0.23 oli, siis GO930-ga (navcore 8.300) see ei töötanud, jooksis kinni ja tegi seadmele restardi. Praegu ver 0.25 väljas ehk see toimib ja vead parandatud. Iseasi, kuidas uuemad navcored seda vastu võtavad. Kahjuks pole ka hetkel seadet, millel seda katsetada.

Nende veebilehe järgi arendus ikka toimub siiamaani. Minul TomTom920 ja navcore 8.417 töötab normaalselt. Millele pihta ei ole saanud on see, et programmi käivitades vahel leiab kaardi, vahel ei leia. Ometi kaart kogu aeg samas kataloogis.
