Now the company Tele Atlas agreed to take a major step forward and submit a new product, known as the Advanced City Models. This is a three-dimensional maps that contain 4 levels of detail: from the coarse model to full photorealism.
Already in June, Tele Atlas will present 40 maps of major European cities, in the future their number will increase, by 2010 there will be more than 100, and the number onyh will also include three-dimensional model of mega-cities of Asia and North America. In addition, Google has already signed an agreement with Tele Atlas to use these three-dimensional models in applications for mobile and desktop platforms. And for the foreseeable future map Advanced City Models should expect in the PSP browser and from Pioneer, Mio, and, of course, TomTom.
